In February we visited the foundry in Spain that will be commissioned to cast the Tara statue in Bronze.  We have a clearer idea of the costs and a time schedule to work with. 

The quote for the bronze cast is 53,000€  including making the moulds.

The statue can be cast in one large piece and lined with resin to make it completely waterproof.  All the mantras and holy objects used to charge the statue will be well protected this way.  The cost for this was given as a maximum of 7,000 € 

The bronze statue will be transported by road, on a low trailer to Osel Ling.    There it will be lifted by either a small crane or helicopter to be placed on site.  The cost of the road transport is 2,300€

The target is to raise the first 21,000€ (35% of the total cost) by June to allow us to place the order.  The second 35% installment of 21,000€ will be due when the bronze is cast two months later and the final 18,000€ needs to be paid on completion, which will be in December if we can go ahead in June.  The quote from the factory stays good for 6 months so we would like to take advantage of the situation and make something happen NOW!
